Where I live, €94’000 can buy you a Porsche Taycan straight from the dealer or a Børresen M1 two-way speaker set. Since I’m not a car expert, I don’t have anything meaningful to say about the former, on the contrary to the latter that was delivered to me a few weeks ago. Now it’s time to tell its story. Enjoy!

Some turntable manufacturers only start their lineup where others end theirs. I find one of such cases to be Vertere Acoustics. For this test, they sent me a set including an excellent Vertere DG-1S deck, their top (at the time), MC cartridge, Mystic, and the only phono stage in their lineup named simply Phono-1 MKII. My job is to assess the set and, hopefully, have a lot of fun while doing it.

Although comms with audio designers known for unusual hardware are essential for understanding why it is what it is, nothing beats seeing in person how this stuff is made. That kind of insight is as valuable as it is irreplaceable, so upon receiving the invitation from Boenicke Audio’s founder Sven I was all in. Now it’s time to share my findings.  

Himalaya II is the new version of the highly acclaimed (until recently) top line of analog cables by KBL Sound. For this test, I received a set consisting of a KBL Sound Himalaya II XLR interconnect and a speaker cable from the same series. Both were accompanied by the latest addition to the brand’s portfolio, Extreme power cable, even though it wasn’t a subject of this review.

To producent wyspecjalizowany, w którego ofercie znaleźć można jedynie urządzenia związane z odtwarzaniem muzyki z plików. Swoją przygodę z tą marką zaczynam z najwyższego „C”, jako że trafił do mnie topowy zestaw Sforzato DSP-05EX plus PMC-05EX, czyli transport plików i DAC, uzupełnione topowym zegarem. Sprawdźmy więc, co słychać na szczytach japońskich himalajów streamingu.

Trafił do mnie zestaw kabli marki, której anglojęzyczna nazwa nie sugeruje co prawda właściwie żadnego konkretnego pochodzenia, ale już włosko brzmiące określenia serii zdają się mówić, że to produkty ze słonecznej Italii. Tymczasem Authentic Audio Image Estremo to topowa seria producenta ze Słowacji. Sprawdźmy, co mają do zaoferowania.

Wystawa Audio Video Show w Warszawie to nie tylko jedna z dwóch najważniejszych imprez tego typu w Europie, ale i okazja, by porozmawiać z twórcami wielu urządzeń audio.
