It’s been a while since audio files became a widely used carrier of music. To make the best use of them, manufacturers had to develop proper solutions, design D/A Converters, streamers, switches, digital cables, and so on. The last piece of the puzzle, same as for analog components, is a high quality power supply. We are testing one of the most interesting and versatile ones available on the market today – the FERRUM HYPSOS hybrid power supply. 

It’s always exciting to learn about new interesting audio brands or even better, to experience them first hand. Despite the situation being what it is, I was invited by friends from J.Sikora to participate in a special event in the beautiful Roma, the unveiling of a new Italian brand called UNICOSUONO.

The newcomer company Carbide Audio has only one product in its roster, but on appearance and topology this decoupling device baptized Carbide Base is unlike any other anti-vibration sorter I’ve seen. Now it’s time to find out whether it’s any good. Enjoy! 

It took a few decades before Allnic Audio products were (finally!) properly introduced to the Polish market thanks to the Gliwice-based 4HiFi, the new brand’s distributor. The first delivery from Korea included five products, and two of them quickly found their way to my place. Polska firma Audio Reveal zdobyła uznanie w branży dzięki wzmacniaczom zintegrowanym, które pracują w opartym na tetrodach układzie single-ended. Najnowszy dodatek do jej oferty – Audio Reveal Classique – to też konstrukcja zintegrowana, ale zbudowana ku chwale lampy 300B, oczywiście tylko jednej na kanał.

Choć wielkie, ciężkie i technologicznie zaawansowane, kolumny podłogowe Avantgarde Acoustic Duo SD stanowią zaledwie środek oferty niemieckiego producenta. Mają też bardzo dobrze sobie radzić w niedużych pomieszczeniach. Skoro nadarzyła się okazja do ugoszczenia ich u siebie, zbrodnią byłoby z niej nie skorzystać. Zapraszam!
