I got familiar with Bakoon HPA-21 headphone amplifier in summer 2014 and it quickly turned out to be the very best sounding machine for notorious Sennheisers HD 800 I had at that time. Back then I acknowledged that Bakoon is no ordinary operation and I’ve been watching it very closely ever since. When Martin Gateley of soundkaos offered me to review his Libération dipoles along with Bakoon AMP-13R integrated deck, I happily obliged. Enjoy!

Martin Gateley’s soundkaos brand stirred the market well and on several occasions I had the pleasure to witness why. The man’s goods have been on my radar for quite a while and – shortly past  the recent local Audio Video Show – two of his boxes were sent my way. Logistics couldn’t have been any easier for the two of us this time around and that’s how soundkaos Libération became this review’s main dish. Enjoy!

Audio Video Show 2018 is in the past. Divided into three locations it did the trick for regular visitors and the industry people yet again. Although this event grew over the years to finally become quite overwhelming, it felt good nonetheless. Here’s my take on it. Enjoy!

Polska firma Audio Reveal zdobyła uznanie w branży dzięki wzmacniaczom zintegrowanym, które pracują w opartym na tetrodach układzie single-ended. Najnowszy dodatek do jej oferty – Audio Reveal Classique – to też konstrukcja zintegrowana, ale zbudowana ku chwale lampy 300B, oczywiście tylko jednej na kanał.

Choć wielkie, ciężkie i technologicznie zaawansowane, kolumny podłogowe Avantgarde Acoustic Duo SD stanowią zaledwie środek oferty niemieckiego producenta. Mają też bardzo dobrze sobie radzić w niedużych pomieszczeniach. Skoro nadarzyła się okazja do ugoszczenia ich u siebie, zbrodnią byłoby z niej nie skorzystać. Zapraszam!

W ramach „Kącika muzycznego” sięgamy po kolejne wydawnictwo PRELUDE CLASSICS. Tym razem to zapomniane dzieła polskich mistrzów, Józefa Wieniawskiego i Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego na krążku SACD Meccore String Quartet „Souvenir de Posen”.

Nieduże kolumny podstawkowe często mają w sobie to COŚ, co sprawia, że gdy człowiek da się już wciągnąć do niezwykłego świata ich brzmienia nieprędko zaczyna tęsknić za dźwiękiem większych głośników. Czy brzmienie testowanych Wilk Audio Projekt VEGA 2 ma w sobie to COŚ? Sprawdźmy.
